This sounds like a really good idea.
In retrospect, it might have been better for us to spend longer on each FIAR book. I didn't because I was worried that the children would get fed up but if we had only read the book on FIAR activity days then taking longer would probably have been beneficial.DeliveringGracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08320150355352857841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-29809350660048559212012-06-21T21:38:28.356+01:002012-06-21T21:38:28.356+01:00Hello again

One of my friends uses it, and says that some families have used it after FIAR, as it fits in very well. It's all planned out for you.

I am still using FIAR, for a number of reasons. We started with Before FIAR, and so we began when the elder child, our ds was 4 1/2, and perhaps more ready for the mature content and language of some of the books. We also use the Homeschool Library in Surrey Quays, so we need not "hunt down" books. The main adaptation, although unplanned, is that we spend about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks on each book, and that makes me feel as though I've got the flexibility to spend time on other things. such as Bible memory work, or history, or reading novel aloud with the children.Anthea in Essexnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-18359444228454317602012-06-21T19:49:55.348+01:002012-06-21T19:49:55.348+01:00Anthea-it was good to meet you. Your daughter had on a pretty dress. The funny thing is, I thought you were home edders, and didn't have the nerve to ask you.

PS We use FIAR, too.Anthea in Essexnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-12009573034218523832012-06-20T13:27:47.756+01:002012-06-20T13:27:47.756+01:00Great list.
