I just found out about them earlier this year (awhile after I wrote that post about my math problems), and as they are located near us, we were able to pick up the materials in person. I would love to have details for the other companies you mentioned, if you don't mind. As for the Geography Songs CD, I couldn't find the CD in the UK, but Amazon UK had it in MP3 format. I downloaded it and made a copy onto a CD, but I normally play the songs straight from my laptop.

About my math curriculum, after I wrote that post I finished up the year by using worksheets from the internet. This year I found a program my son LOVES. It's called Teaching Textbooks, and it's done on computer. It is a bit pricey, but my wonderful parents paid for it...and it has been worth every penny. I chose Singapore Math for my 1st grader, and it's working well for her.

I love the fact that you had a Thanksgiving meal. We don't have any American friends where we live, but our British friends here all enjoy having Thanksgiving with us every year. : )Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06862163059927293977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-83040958707175731572010-11-29T21:35:25.647+00:002010-11-29T21:35:25.647+00:00Beth-yes, we have some American friends so had vag...Beth-yes, we have some American friends so had vaguely thought about Thanksgiving before. It seemed to fit in so well with our history project that we couldn't really miss this. We will definitely think about doing this again.
Glad you like the new blog appearance-my daughter's work-she is much better at such things that me.DeliveringGracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08320150355352857841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-4655743794994537732010-11-29T08:32:34.784+00:002010-11-29T08:32:34.784+00:00I like the new blog appearance, by the way!I like the new blog appearance, by the way!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-79632612619791012552010-11-29T08:31:21.514+00:002010-11-29T08:31:21.514+00:00Looks like you did it perfectly right. Apple Pie ...Looks like you did it perfectly right. Apple Pie is very often used in Thanksgivings! Pumpkin is very, very easy, though -- possibly easier than apple.

Sarah, do you have a lot of American friends?

Two British families celebrated this day and the American didn't. Something is very wrong here (with me, of course).

-BethAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272887249587912361.post-10751391645661134612010-11-26T22:19:00.489+00:002010-11-26T22:19:00.489+00:00We did a toned down version of last yr's study...We did a toned down version of last yr's study, but had an amazing meal, thanks to LJ and CRR. It is good to have a time to set aside to be thankful.
Hope you are all better now - Julius was looking pale and nauseous earlier, but so far, so good.
HxThe Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01278520269119195703noreply@blogger.com
